# Don't Get Reported

Most bans don't come from the anti-cheat finding the cheat. They come from other players reporting you, and in a lot of games a killcam or a replay is all it takes. This lesson is all about making sure nobody in your lobby ever has a reason to hit that report button.

Ask yourself the same question from the introduction: if you were an admin spectating yourself, would you think you were cheating?

#### Watch Your Stats

This is the one that catches people who did everything else right. Modern anti-cheats don't only look at how your aim moves, they look at your stats and compare them to your own history.

If your headshot percentage goes from 10% to 50% in one night, no amount of smoothing will save you. The flag isn't on your crosshair, it's on how fast you improved. **Let your numbers climb slowly enough that it looks like practice.**

Your scoreboard matters too. A 6 KD in a low rank lobby reads as a cheater no matter how careful each individual round was. Same goes for long win streaks way above your rank. At some point you have to pick between the scoreboard and the account.

#### Play Like a Good Player, Not a God

The goal isn't to be unbeatable, because unbeatable is exactly what gets reported. A few things the players who last for months do:

* **Miss on purpose sometimes.** Missing an easy shot early keeps your accuracy looking human.
* **Take the fights a good player would win.** Let the rest walk past, you don't need to win every fight.
* **Let your teammates get kills.** You still win the round, and your stats stay boring.

Honestly, playing a bit worse on purpose is harder than playing well. But it's the skill that keeps your account alive.

#### If Someone Accuses You

It's going to happen eventually. When someone calls you out in chat, don't argue and don't prove them right. **Go full closet mode for the rest of the match.** Let enemies peek you instead of holding angles you shouldn't know about, let your teammates take the kills, and play the rest of the game as boring as possible. A suspicious lobby is a lobby that's going to watch the replay.

#### Pick Your Lobbies

Packed peak hour lobbies mean more players watching you die, and every one of them is a potential report. If you're going to push your settings, don't do it on official servers on an account you care about.

In games with server admins, getting kicked from servers is a warning sign too. Even if the game doesn't ban you that day, a reported account is an account with more eyes on it.
